FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE DIVISION (FAD)

Position Title: Accountant III

Salary Grade: SG 19
Annual Salary: Php 598,020.00
Duties and Responsibilities
-
Manage and supervise accounting unit personnel to oversee the overall operation of the unit;
-
Certify correctness of disbursement vouchers, journals and financial reports for submission to various government agencies;
-
Maintain and certify the availability of funds to ensure accuracy of budget expending utilization;
-
Coordinate with other operating divisions in the monitoring of financial assistance to NGAs, NGOs and other grantees;
-
Provide technical advice on financial matters for proper compliance with Government Accounting Standards;
-
Monitor withholding of taxes and other mandatory deductions for remittance to BIR, GSIS, PAG-IBIG, and Philhealth;
-
Prepare and sign correspondence to address regulatory concerns and issues related to accounting unit; and
-
Perform such other duties as may be assigned from time to time for effective and efficient delivery of service of the Institute.
Qualification Standards
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accountancy/ Business Administration major in Accounting
- Training: Eight (8) hours of relevant training
- Experience: Two (2) years relevant of experience

Position Title: Senior Science Research Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities
-
Undertake formative project evaluation and monitoring for effective implementation of programs and projects of the division;
-
Assist in conceptualizing and formulating projects by preparing project proposals that are aligned to the Institute's mandates;
-
Recommend revision in operational procedures and processes by employing appropriate methodologies to enhance implementation of programs and projects of the division;
-
Prepare periodic reports on the development, evaluation, and monitoring of programs and projects by using the appropriate reporting standards to guide the management in policy formulation and decision making;
-
Assist in the maintenance of linkages with relevant sectors and institutions through constant communication to ensure effective implementation of the projects and programs;
-
Review fiscal matters of the Division's programs and projects by referring to established government accounting practices and financial reporting system to ensure compliance thereof; and
-
Perform such other duties as may be assigned from time to time for the effective and efficient delivery of service of the Institute.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in the implementation of program/project implementation and activities;

Organize, collate, process, analyze and interpret data from program/project implementation;

Prepare communications, memoranda, special orders, minutes of the meeting, presentations, and certificates relevant to the implemented programs/projects of the division;
-
Prepare reports related to project implementation and monitoring;
-
Prepare monthly accomplishment reports and progress reports of different projects as required by other division/unit/institution; and
-
Perform such other duties as may be assigned from time to time for the effective and efficient delivery of service of the Institute."
